Since he was a boy growing up in Ipswich, Corey has dreamed of building a family business from the ground up. From a young age he possessed an extraordinary work ethic, as a first year apprentice he was already designing the invoices for the company he one day hoped to run. His dream came to fruition in 2015, when Corey founded Chalk Electrical.
Corey operates Chalk Electrical guided by the values and principles instilled in his by the Chalk family, one of the oldest families in Ipswich. Corey’s great, great grandfather owned much of the original farmlands throughout Redbank and the Chalks’ have been outstanding members of the Ipswich community ever since. With over 12 years of experience, Corey is recognised as a leader in the electrical contracting industry. His obliging and honest manner puts customers at ease. He has unparalleled attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality assurance. Most of all he takes pride in his company and the values that it stands for – honesty, quality and innovation.
In his spare time you will find Corey carving up the ice as a passionate ice hockey player. His determination and thirst for success shines through in his game and makes him a force to be reckoned with. No challenge is too great for Corey. Whether he is replacing a Grandmother’s power point, or rubbing shoulders with international business leaders, he will stop at nothing to ensure the service he provides is the very best that money can buy.
Shannon – Director / Marketing & Consumer Engagement
As Director of Marketing & Consumer Engagement, Shannon brings innovation and direction to the Chalk Electrical team. With a background in speech pathology and small business management, Shannon is a highly skilled communicator and this shines through in her role within Chalk Electrical.
Shannon has a special interest in consumer experience and this guides every decision she makes in the business. She has established a strong culture of innovation and quality improvement within the Chalk Electrical team and has an unrelenting drive to deliver for her customers. Shannon’s pride in Ipswich is obvious through Chalk Electrical’s charity work and community initiatives. She is a strong believer that in business, as in life, success is achieved with a focus on giving rather than receiving. Shannon is a seasoned renovator and in her spare time you are likely to find her curled up on the couch with her dog Ollie, reading up on the latest housing and design trends.
